Round, chalky droplets arranged in horizontal lines

Lime

Keep an eye on

Calcium can be identified by round, chalky “droplets” that appear in horizontal lines across the roller surface. These deposits reduce cell volume and disrupt ink transfer.

Result after cleaning
How does it arise?
  • Limescale buildup caused by hard water, ink components, or insufficient rinsing after cleaning.
  • It can also be caused by chemical reactions between cleaning agents and mineral deposits.
What to do.
  • Perform additional manual cleaning using a specialized product that dissolves mineral deposits.
How to use it?
  1. Spray a small amount of Flexoclean Limescale Buster directly onto the affected area and onto the included power sponge.
  2. Rub the power sponge thoroughly into the grid roller and let the product sit for up to 10 minutes./li>
  3. Then treat the surface again with the power sponge.
  4. Rinse the embossing roller with clean water or use the machine's rinse cycle.
  5. After rinsing, dry the roller with a clean cloth.
  6. For heavier soiling, repeat the steps above.

Note: Make sure Limescale Buster does not dry on the grid roller.

Cleaning Process & Results

During the treatment, the limescale deposits visibly dissolve, and the surface takes on a uniform appearance. Persistent buildup may indicate water quality issues or insufficient cleaning frequency.

Tip: Prevent limescale buildup by using soft water and rinsing thoroughly after each cleaning cycle.
